\/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><b>Il golpe del Covid<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>A partire dai campanelli d\u2019allarme dell\u2019Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanit\u00e0 sulla pandemia, la paura e la confusione hanno oscurato lo stato precario dell\u2019economia occidentale.<\/div>\n<div>La stagnazione era evidente forse gi\u00e0 da 25 anni, come era evidente che il modello di crescita, sopravvissuto con il sostegno di boom e bust, non era pi\u00f9 raggiungibile o sostenibile.<\/div>\n<div>Sotto il trauma globale della pandemia, \u00e8 stato compiuto un colpo di stato economico iniziato con il blocco dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 economica, la sottoscrizione pubblica temporanea di salari e welfare e vari tipi di pacchetti di stimolo.<\/div>\n<div>Il trauma globale ha portato le persone in tutto il mondo ad accettare limitazioni alle libert\u00e0 che normalmente non avrebbero tollerato.<\/div>\n<div>Prima della pandemia l\u2019opinione pubblica globale si stava coalizzando attorno a questioni imminenti e urgenti come la devastazione ecologica e la disuguaglianza dilagante che stavano paralizzando i governi.<\/div>\n<div>Il trauma globale del Covid ha invece paralizzato le persone e dato un consenso universalmente affermato ai governi autoritari per tenere le persone al sicuro.<\/div>\n<div>Tuttavia, l\u2019attenzione dei governanti si \u00e8 concentrata maggiormente sulla legge, sull\u2019ordine e sulle misure economiche, invece che nell\u2019utilizzare la crisi per investire in servizi ospedalieri e sanitari che gi\u00e0 avevano subito tagli alla spesa e privatizzazioni.<\/div>\n<div>La preoccupazione per gli anziani vulnerabili al Covid \u00e8 genuina quando il rinvio della chirurgia elettiva significa disagio e dolore quotidiani?<\/div>\n<div>Possiamo solo ascoltare la scienza con paura, ascoltare i governi con paura, aspettare varianti nella paura e trattarci a vicenda con paura?<\/div>\n<div>Cos\u00ec deciso \u00e8 lo sguardo sull\u2019unica risposta da offrire \u2013 la vaccinazione globale \u2013 che il rafforzamento della sanit\u00e0 pubblica per proteggere i vulnerabili e curare i malati di Covid, non \u00e8 presa in considerazione.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c8 surreale, ma l\u2019umanit\u00e0 \u2013 quasi otto miliardi di persone \u2013 timorosa e divisa come mai prima d\u2019ora, \u00e8 stata resa passiva se non paralizzata sotto una nuvola di portentoso cambiamento.<\/div>\n<div>Nel frattempo\u2026<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>The Covid coup<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Since the World Health Organisation\u2019s pandemic alarm bells, fear and confusion have overshadowed the parlous state of Western economics.<\/div>\n<div>The stagnation had been clearly visible for possibly the past 25 years with signs that the growth model, that had survived with the support of boom and busts, was no longer attainable or sustainable.<\/div>\n<div>Under the pandemic\u2019s global trauma, an economic coup has been carried out that began with a freeze on economic activity, the temporary public underwriting of wages and welfare and various types of stimulus packages.<\/div>\n<div>The global trauma has brought people around the world to accept limitations on freedoms they would not have normally.<\/div>\n<div>Prior the pandemic global public opinion was coalescing around imminent and urgent issues such as ecological devastation and rampant inequality, that were paralysing governments.<\/div>\n<div>Covid\u2019s global trauma has instead paralysed people and given consent to authoritarian governments which universally claimed to be keeping people safe.<\/div>\n<div>However, their focus has tended to be more on law and order and economic measures instead of using the crisis to invest in the best possible hospital and health care services, that had suffered expenditure pruning and privatisations.<\/div>\n<div>Is concern for the Covid vulnerable elderly genuine when postponement of elective surgery means daily discomfort and pain?<\/div>\n<div>Can we only listen to the science in fear, listen to governments in fear, wait for variants in fear and treat each other in fear?<\/div>\n<div>So strong is the gaze on the only response on offer \u2013 blanket vaccination \u2013 that the bolstering of public health capacity, to protect the Covid vulnerable and treat the Covid sick, is not a consideration.<\/div>\n<div>It\u2019s surreal but humanity \u2013 nearly eight billon people \u2013 fearful and divided like never before, has been rendered passive if not paralysed under a cloud of portentous change.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile
